What are your opening hours?
DISC Abu Dhabi is open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 9pm. We are closed on Sundays.
Is there parking at the clinic?
Yes. Covered parking is available at Sheikha Fatima Park and we validate your ticket at reception for up to 3 hours.
Coming from the covered car park, our entrance is next to Dialogue, with the DISC sign above the door.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 3 to 5 days ahead to get your preferred time, especially for evening and weekend appointments.
Do you accept walk-in patients?
Yes, we accept walk-ins. Booking in advance is still the best way to secure your preferred clinician and time.
What happens if I arrive late?
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your session may be shortened or rescheduled.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule at least six hours before your appointment. Later changes carry a AED 250 late cancellation fee.
Can I choose a male or female therapist?
Yes. Tell us your preference when you book and we'll arrange a male or female therapist for you.
Do I need to see a doctor before physiotherapy or chiropractic?
Usually not. You can book a physiotherapist or chiropractor directly, and they will assess you and plan your treatment.
Please see a doctor first if you have any of these:
- Pain spreading into your arm or leg
- Numbness, tingling or weakness
- Severe pain after a fall or accident
- Fever, unexplained weight loss or a history of cancer
- Loss of bladder or bowel control
If you're unsure, start with a doctor's consultation and they will recommend the right treatment.
Do you treat conditions other than muscle and joint problems?
Yes. Our multidisciplinary team also treats neurological conditions such as post-stroke rehabilitation and nerve-related disorders, acute illnesses like flu, headaches and stomach pain, and chronic conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes. We also help with fatigue, posture problems, stress-related symptoms and general deconditioning.
Do you treat children?
Yes. Our therapists treat children and teenagers with parental consent, using age-appropriate methods, and our doctors see patients from age 2.
Can I have treatment while pregnant?
Yes. Our therapists are trained to treat you safely throughout all three trimesters. We ask for clearance from your doctor before treatment starts.
Can I have a session during my period?
Yes, you can attend as normal unless you feel unwell or uncomfortable.
Can I exercise before or after my session?
Light exercise is fine. Avoid intense training on the day of your treatment.
What should I wear?
Gym or other flexible clothing works best, so your clinician can assess and treat you easily. The clinic has private changing rooms and showers if you'd like to change before or after.
Is it normal to feel sore after a session?
Yes. Mild soreness is common after soft-tissue and hands-on work and usually settles within 24 to 48 hours.
Deep tissue work, dry needling or shockwave can occasionally leave light bruising. This is also temporary.
Can I have several areas treated in one session?
Sessions focus on the areas linked to your condition and your clinician's plan, which keeps treatment targeted and effective.
If you have more than one concern, your therapist will prioritise them and work through each one over your treatment plan. We don't book back-to-back sessions for separate complaints.
What is the difference between physiotherapy and chiropractic?
Physiotherapy covers pain and injury management for every joint, with a strong focus on rehabilitation and exercise. Chiropractic focuses on hands-on adjustment and manipulation of the spine and joints.
Do you offer men's health physiotherapy?
Yes. Men's health physiotherapy, including pelvic floor care, is available at DISC Abu Dhabi with our pelvic floor specialist.
Do you treat C-section and surgical scars?
Yes. Our physiotherapists treat C-section and other post-surgical scars with manual therapy, soft-tissue mobilisation and exercises that improve tissue flexibility, ease tightness and restore normal movement.
Do you offer sports massage?
We don't offer standalone massage sessions. Our physiotherapists and chiropractors use deep tissue, myofascial release and sports massage techniques as part of your treatment plan.
For recovery, we also offer two self-pay packages:
- Recovery Package (manual therapy, compression, cold plunge): AED 650
- Lymphatic Drainage Package (compression, manual lymphatic drainage, compression): AED 650
Contact our team to book either package.
Do you offer PRP injections?
Yes. PRP injections are available after a consultation with our orthopedic surgeon, who will confirm the treatment suits your condition. The price depends on the area treated and is confirmed at that consultation.
Can I have blood tests done with you?
Yes. We work with an accredited laboratory for all doctor-requested blood tests. You can visit the lab for your sample, or we can arrange a blood draw at home.
Do you offer packages or payment plans?
